Faubourg Saint-Honoré · Paris
At 24 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, our craftsmen have spent decades perfecting a single art: the creation of bags worthy of those who carry them. DeBRUIN PARIS was founded on the belief that a truly exceptional bag is not made — it is composed, the way a musician composes a symphony.
Each stitch is placed with intention. Each hide is selected by hand. No two pieces are precisely alike — the grain of the leather, the fall of the dye, the particular give of a well-oiled seam — these are the signatures of the hand, not the machine.
Our craftsmen do not work to deadlines. They work to standards. When a piece does not meet those standards, it is set aside — not corrected, but set aside — and begun again. This is the only discipline we recognise.
Every calfskin is sourced directly from tanneries in the Périgord and Tuscany. Our master selectors reject more than they accept.
We do not use machine stitching. Every seam is hand-sewn using the saddle stitch technique — the only method that holds, strengthens, and improves with age.
The D monogram appears once on every piece — embossed, not printed. Applied by hand with a heated brass stamp aged to the correct temperature for each leather type.
The D is not a decoration. It is a provenance mark — the final act performed on each bag before it leaves our atelier. Pressed into the leather with a brass stamp that has never been replicated, it communicates one fact: this piece was made here, in this building, by these hands.
The monogram does not guarantee exclusivity — the exclusivity of materials and method guarantees the monogram. We would not place our D on anything we did not believe deserved to bear it. This is our only contract with the wearer.
By private appointment only.
